1997
1997 marked the 30th Anniversary for Camaro. A special edition Anniversary Package included a white car with Hugger Orange racing stripes (reminiscent of the '69 Pace Car), white Hounds tooth cloth interior, or optional white leather, and white 5-spoke wheels were included. Seats had "30th Anniversary" embroidered on headrest, leather had embossed logos.
New dash style introduced with slightly different instrument cluster. New stereo head units and 6-speaker Monsoon sound system now available, replacing the previous Bose units. A 12-disc cd changer was also available
New style 5-star polished or chrome wheels and 3-color tail lights introduced.
Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) are now standard, using the bright side of the turn signals in the front.
New "zebra stripe" cloth interior introduced, available in Light Gray, Graphite, Tan or Flame Red. New style leather seats with perforated seatbacks and bottoms, available in Graphite or Tan.
Exterior Colors: Polo Green and Dark Purple Metallic dropped. Medium Quasar Blue dropped midyear.
Bright Purple Metallic introduced.
